Arda Guler has responded to claims that he is unhappy with his situation at Real Madrid by stating that they have a plan for his development.
Milan were in the running to sign Guler from Fenerbahce but ultimately Real Madrid won the race, landing him for around €30m. However, he has played only 26% of his possible minutes since the start of the LaLiga season, which has led to talk of the Turkish talent being unhappy.
A report from Sky in Switzerland recently spoke about Milan and Inter being keen on signing the teenager. They even added that Turkey boss Vincenzo Montella has ‘advised Güler to join Serie A to improve his game’ but he is ‘dependent on the goodwill’ of Real Madrid.
Guler gave an interview to the Spanish newspaper Marca, in which he also commented on the rumours about his future and potentially pushing for an exit when the summer window opens.
“I love the Real Madrid fans and their support means a lot to me. I am very grateful to them. I came to Real Madrid to play and to be an important part of this team. And I will not stop fighting until I get it,” he said (via MilanNews).
“Real Madrid gave me a plan and I still believe in it. I am sure that in Madrid I will achieve it. I even bought a house in Madrid. I work hard and I am always ready to play, as you could see in this match against Hungary.
“We are ready to fight for all three titles until the end of the season, and it will be exciting. Madrid always fights to win every game and every title. Personally, my only desire is to play every game and help my team win every title.”
Man whoever believes this Milan and their negotiation techniques is delusional. Here comes our first offer:
Milan: So he has a market value of 30 Million?
Real madrid: Yes
Milan: Okay first offer, we will give you a chicken nugget and 2 gatorades
Real madrid: No
65 offers later:
Milan: Okay, fine. 150K with bonuses, 5 chicken nuggets, plus Sportiello
and in parallel you will see a 2x contract renewal for Musah and Emerson Royal. This team is a complete joke
Yes the plan was sit on bench, celebrate winning title as bench Warmer, later released after his contract expired just like isco. Easy money with less playing time
We have reason to be optimistic giving the fact that we now have a working (unofficial) SD
