AC Milan have won the race to sign defender Ozan Kabak from Schalke with an announcement expected soon, according to a report.
According to Haber365 – an outlet based in Kabak’s home cou try of Turkey – the Rossoneri have beaten competition from Liverpool and Inter to land the 20-year-old centre-back.
The entourage of the Turkey international left Italy and returned to the city of Gelsenkirchen after reaching an agreement over personal terms, and now the signatures are expected soon with only ‘minor bumps’ standing between Milan and a total agreement.
The former Stuttgart star will join up with compatriot Hakan Çalhanoğlu at San Siro, while the report even adds that a statement is planned for later on Sunday which will officially confirm Kabak’s departure from Schalke.
It is good news for Milan if true as they desperately needed defensive reinforcement given that Alessio Romagnoli, Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte are all currently out.
