Tuttosport: How Milan will invest their remaining budget and the targets in sight

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are likely to concentrate their remaining funs on signing a new central midfielder with a centre-back being targeted on loan, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are pushing for a central defender and they have Abdou Diallo of PSG at the top of their list. He has overtaken Japhet Tanganga of Spurs not only because he has more experience but also because he can play left-back.

PSG have to be persuaded to accept a loan with option to buy, which is one obstacle currently blocking the deal, and the other is the high salary that he earns which means the Ligue 1 champions would have to cover a part of it.

The real investment will be made in the middle of the field and around €10m is available for the central midfielder role. Pape Matar Sarr of Tottenham is the leading name at the moment and while Milan again want a loan with option, Spurs are open only to a dry loan.

  1. There is something amiss with a club like PSG. It’s an example of … mismanagement. Any donkeys are paid +€6 Mio/year, whether he plays or not, and it makes these players untransferable if they stick to their PSG wage.

As for Pape Matar Sarr, it’s just obvious that if Milan fixate on a loan with option to buy, there will be no deal.

  2. Great club with rubbish investors. Pricing quality players like used clothes. Now, looking here n there for last minute alternatives. This sucks

    1. To make a comment, it doesn’t cost you anything. But for Milan they don’t earn equal to the 20th place team in Premier league even after winning the scudetto.

We are just reviving ourselves, at least it takes 4years continous participation in champions league, to give good salariés and recruit players at some good price.

Psg spend 5times more than us, they never won anything even after having the best worldclass players.

Buy some merchandise products first tha’ commenting..
