There are considerations to make with Maignan’s sale, of course. After all, Milan have a €100 million hole to fill, and this is without accounting for potential wage increases, like what Theo Hernandez and Maignan are seeking.

Of course, we know Theo is very much looking for an exit now, with the latest arriving about a potential departure this afternoon – he is appreciative of Juventus’ interest.

With the goalkeeper, the interest in leaving is not as public. However, we know that there are several clubs lining up for a chance to sign him when the window opens. Now, the price being sought has been revealed.

According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri will ‘demand’ offers of more than €20m for the goalkeeper – a stark contrast on what he was worth last summer in the club’s eyes.

Other factors need to be accounted for, of course. Nevertheless, even without European football and only a year left on his contract, you would imagine a higher price could be brought in. Considering the ideal replacements will also cost more than €20m also, it is surely a mistake waiting to happen.
