There has been a lot of talk about AC Milan’s goalkeeper situation of late, and it makes sense. After all, we are no closer to understanding what is happening with Mike Maignan.
In the past few months, there have been several suggestions about the situation of Maignan’s renewal. However, there is seemingly no telling about where the land currently lies with Milan and the Frenchman currently gridlocked.

As Calciomercato.com recalls, the Rossoneri reportedly reached an agreement around December, but since then, there has been nothing positive to emerge. Instead it has been a constant stream of suggestions of lower offers, which the report ponders if it has angered Maignan, understandably – going from €5m per season to €4m with Champions League related bonuses.
Questioned again on his future yesterday, the goalkeeper was coy, instead suggesting that the situation will be spoken about when the time is right – similar words to those of Sergio Conceicao, when he has discussed his own future.
If a renewal is not finalised, an exit would be considered surely, with Manchester United and Chelsea taking note of the situation. With the Diavolo also making considerations of their own involving Marco Carnesecchi and Mile Svilar, it seems it may not be heading in the right direction…
We will have to see of course, but Milan are already making future considerations and are ‘there’ browsing.

Longo: “The offer to Maignan changed. From €5m fixed base to €4m with bonuses linked to the CL 2026/2027. A final proposal that most probably disappointed and annoyed him. In the event of Maignan leaving, Milan would consider two names over all – Carnesecchi of Atalanta and Mile Svilar of Roma.”
Difficult? You spelled cheap and unwilling wrongly. That’s RedBird for you. And people wonder why we underperform and say it’s not management related.
How are you so dumb that you believe literally every Newspaper report, esp if its a negative one? Literally no one knows whats going on stop falling for crap
Another bitc hass comment from angry chick lol
oh lord boulden please enlight us on how to filter news and judge if its crap or not
Are you suggesting we stop coming to this platform because we cannot tell the differencebetween bs and justifiable updates. Because everything seemed to be bs in your opinion and we are gullible fools to fall for every article out there. These are opinions based on speculations nothing more nothing less. No need to jump on fans concerns amid all theuncertainty surrounding the team. We are rightly worried about the state of affairs, specifically what’s happening with renewals for some of our core players. Pardon us for being apprehensive…we are worried!!!
No, what he’s saying is that this is news created in order to make clicks for $$$.
Obviously, Maignan and Milan have not met yet, and they will at the end of the season. Not now. Don’t be ridiculous.
Second, I would hope that Milans scouts have a list of 100+ players they are monitoring for each position. So them scouting Carni or Svilar isn’t unusual. It’s expected. This is their job.
You have to stop believing everything you read on the internet is real. How gullible are you dude?
“Obviously, Maignan and Milan have not met yet, and they will at the end of the season. Not now. Don’t be ridiculous.”
by the word ‘obviously’, how do you so certain that they haven’t met to discuss the contract before?
Contradicting yourself. Read your response before you post
If I’m not mistaken, Meret is out of contract this summer, so that could be a free transfer. But it Mike leaves, my preference would be to give Torriani a shot, backed up by Sportiello and Vasquez. This would ultimately be the cheapest as well, if that is so important to Redbird.
Yess maybe difficult because Milan have no money to renewal maignan contract…
Furlani will offload someone this summer and blame it on lack of CL income… “Oh but we had to…”
No to svilar, try italian GK like carnesachi, cragno, meret or try swap deal maignan with donnarumma ( lower chance)
