No Champions League AGAIN: Instant reaction to Milan 1-2 Cagliari

Lorenzo shared his thoughts on AC Milan’s Champions League failure (yet again) straight after the full-time whistle in the game against Cagliari.

Milan had one job to do this evening and that was to win against Cagliari. And if not that, they at least needed a draw to keep their Champions League pursuit alive. In the end, they got neither as the Sardinian side prevailed 1-2 at San Siro.

As a result, they have missed out on the Champions League for the second year in a row. It can only be described as a massive failure, especially when you consider that Milan were comfortably in second place in February or so.

Lorenzo recorded his instant reaction straight after the full-time whistle, as said, and he didn’t have anything positive to say (as you would expect). How Milan will be able to get out of this slump remains to be seen, but it sure is a steep mountain to climb.

  1. Cardinals lazy pitiful cheap appointment of allegri didn’t pay off. What. A. Surprise… Ownership has destroyed every level of the club in less than 5 years. Pathetic. Get rid of cardinale, get rid of fulani, get rid of ibra, get rid of allegri, sell leao fofana tomori and gimenez, bring back Maldini and massara, and bring in an actual progressive coach who will not force a team that cant play park the bus to do it all season.

    1. Yep. I said after last season they should hire Fabregas. Because that would be their only chance.

Instead they made the safe choice. Well that didn’t turn out so well.

      Go get Idraola.

  2. Europa focus:

    Maignan Torriani Terracciano
De Winter, Gabbia, Pavlo, Gila kind of player and someone from primavera/futuro.
Now midfield is problem. Its Obvious Ricci and Jashari must stay in club. with Modric Goretzka and one new midfielder with primavera/future youngster/s.
Saelemaekers, Athekame, Bartesaghi plus new arrival.
    Gimenez Nkunku Pulisic Leao Vlahovic

Estupinan, Tomori, Ruben Loftus, Musah, Chukwueze, Bondo, Terracciano, ,Fofana, Bennacer, Odogu – all for sales.

    1. The players and coach will be the only problem after failing cl. Management is easy to find, but as for players, modric is not gonna renew, goretzka and gila are not gonna sign without ucl, there has to be a sale of one star, like pavlovic for example.

All here want to have ready made stars, but it would be extremely difficult to find them without cl.

  3. Selling players is not an option but a financial necessity imposed by the loss to Cagliari and the failure to qualify for the UCL. The reality is that Milan will have to sell a mix of stars to raise €80-120 million, but this will only exacerbate its structural problems, a team lacking consistency is now losing its key players.
Without a clear plan for smart reinvestment, this summer could become a turning point, setting the club back years. The management faces a real test, sell to survive or sell for a genuine rebuild? The former is more likely, making the 2026/27 season one of “defense” rather than “attack.”
the Reality is unforgiving، Milan is now paying the price for the instability exposed by the loss to Cagliari.

  4. Một đội bộ sậu dối rắm, không có 1 chính sách chuyển nhượng nào rõ ràng trong 3 -4 mùa giải qua… nhìn vào chính sách chuyển nhượng là đã biết kết quả của cả 1 mùa giải.

  5. Roma and Como have much lower transfer fee and salary. Yet they are in CL, what is the difference? Modern vs dinosaur coach. That’s the main difference.
And it also seems Milan owner wants to help Chelsea American owner, by buying their useless rejects. Part from Puli, all Chelsea’s rejects didn’t do well, including Tomori.

  6. Does the owners even go to our pages to at least glance through comments

Cos it’s surprising they aren’t willing to accept change

    1. No offence to you, or no defending the management, but that is the single worst thing you can do as an owner, go to see comments to page like sempreMilan is the dumbest idea you could have adviced any owner.
