Il Tempo: Inter and Dybala reach a stalemate with Milan ready to pounce

By Oliver Fisher -

Paulo Dybala might not end up joining Inter now and AC Milan could move to try and sign him on a free transfer, a report claims.

According to Il Tempo (via PianetaMilan), Inter are focusing on finding an agreement with Chelsea over the return of Romelu Lukaku and they no longer seem so convinced about signing Dybala.

The plan for Simone Inzaghi is to partner Lukaku with Lautaro Martínez in his 3-5-2 with Edin Džeko and Joaquín Correa as their back-ups, who are not expected to leave the Nerazzurri this summer.

There is still Alexis Sánchez on the wage bill too who has not found a new accommodation, while Hakan Çalhanoğlu will be joined by Henrik Mkhitaryan as more of a playmaker type.

Therefore, there is a bit of a stalemate between Inter and Dybala, and the Roman paper claims Milan can take advantage of the situation because they believe he would be easier to sign than Nicolò Zaniolo.

  1. Dybala or Zaniolo? If there is anyone in this world who thinks the latter is better (s)he should be locked up for good. Even though I hate Dybala I’m not THAT stupid that I wouldn’t know he would be good for Milan.

    1. Well it depends, Zaniolo definitely has higher potential but you don’t pay 40-50M when you can get a free player. The other thing is they wouldn’t play on the same position. Zaniolo plays at RW, whatever you people say, you can watch any Roma match, he can cover AMC but doesn’t play there. Dybala more a forward who is also good on AMC. In short, we need both, those 2 positions need to be filled. For anything else I don’t care, like Botman, Sanchez, we have players, find a few young talents for 10M for both positions to cover and we are good to go. I mean since we don’t have enough money to buy anyone really, we need to patch up the team with that and that is it.

  2. Cheaper option than CDK for number 10 . We can use that budget for CDK moving to Asensio/Ziyech/Antony. Too bad this source not reliable

  3. No brainer, I don’t know why didn’t we sign him already if we have such a poor budget. You don’t find players of that quality for free often.

  4. Yes please — if we can get Dybala, we should. He can play RW or CAM and he’s MUCH MUCH safer than 2-time knee surgery Zaniolo who (because of his “potential”) is so very expensive.

PLEASE, if it is at all possible, try to get Dybala!
