Yet more suggestions have emerged that Investcorp will simply be the face behind a much bigger project for AC Milan involving multiple interested parties with a lot of wealth.
According to Carlo Festa of Il Sole 24 Ore (via MilanEye), an ad hoc fund will be created to buy Milan which will essentially serve as a vehicle for various financial groups and families to invest their money. This means that rather than being the sole financiers, Investcorp will therefore be the manager of other people’s money.
Meanwhile, Milano Finanza confirm that among the main shareholders in Investcorp are some Saudi and Qatari ‘entrepreneurial dynasties’ who are very much convinced by the idea of investing their money in Milan.
They believe that a club like the Rossoneri could represent a gateway to the Italian and European market for Middle Eastern capital, which is one of their missions in order to expand global influence.
Investcorp is a nonsense company, its just a hedge fund and thats it. I do not want it.
Eventually Milan will be sold on to make profits.
Having fund management company could be better than having one billionaire owner, the bilionaire cannot put his own money due to FFP. But surely Invesment have countless contacts to get lots of sponsorships. And they will attract more sponsors since company will wanna have business relation with fund company like them.
As I said before: they want to use Milan as a base or “jumping board” for big investment in Italy and Europe. They can not make money running football club. And who knows businessman from Midlle East, they understand my point. Anyway, if that can bring some goods to Milan, it is ok.
The problem with investment companies they like to keep operational cost as low as possible but exert maximum result. This is what’s curently milan is in, unfortunately it worked. This will be frustating for us fans. Player turn over will be high and not long players will lose their spirit. Hope i’m wrong
