Sergio Ramos will leave Monterrey in January and appears keen on a return to Europe, having been offered to AC Milan by his manager, according to a report.
Ramos joined the Mexican side as a free agent back in February this year, signing a contract until the end of December. Now, with the deadline approaching quickly, the centre-back has seemingly decided to return to Europe.

The 39-year-old reportedly wants to show Spain’s head coach, Luis de la Fuenta, that he’s good enough to be called up for the World Cup next year. As such, it would benefit him to return to Europe and, if possible, continue his career at a relatively big club.
Milan alerted by intermediaries
Milan have been mentioned as a potential destination before, seeing as they are looking for a centre-back, and Alessandro Jacobone is now reporting that there has been some movement. Indeed, the veteran has been offered to the Rossoneri ‘through intermediaries’.
For now, it remains unclear if Igli Tare and co are interested in the opportunity, with age being the main blocker here. If Ramos’ former teammate Luka Modric has proved anything, however, it’s that experience can help a team a lot.
In Massimiliano Allegri’s side, Ramos could act as the deputy for Matteo Gabbia, who has played every single minute in the league this season.
Better than wasting more money on another Pellegrino, De Winter or Odogu.
Neither De Winter or Odogu has been a waste of money yet, we’ve just got three starters playing well enough that we haven’t needed to rely on either of them. That’s a great position to be in.
To me, of our starters, Tomori looks most vulnerable to injury but that would be the concern, I wouldn’t say no to some more depth but would Ramos be willing to sit quietly and support from the side of everyone else is fit?
Thiago Silva would be a more obvious choice if we’re talking aging center backs but Ramos could work.. haven’t seen him play since Madrid though…

Think he could be the exact profile to bolster CB spot. World class shit houser. Strong positioning and 1v1 defending. If he can stay out of the official’s book he can be helpful.
He’s even slower then before. I’ve watched a few games and he was below average for the Mexican league. The team needs to move forward.
For 6 month, it is better to take one from T silva or sergio. Or you can take both and loan odugu for playing time, both will not demand starter position
