Jacobone: Milan rejected offer from Bayern Munich for Maignan – the figures

Mike Maignan has been linked with multiple clubs over the last few months as his contract with AC Milan will expire in 2026. However, despite the success at the Euros attracting interest, it appears the goalkeeper will remain after all.

Indeed, Maignan has been a key player for France – who have reached the semi-finals – along with his Milan colleague Theo Hernandez. Daniele Longo reported yesterday that the goalkeeper now is ready to accept the Rossoneri’s renewal offer, which includes a significant pay rise.

Alessandro Jacobone has now added to the situation as Bayern Munich did make an offer for Maignan, according to his information. It was valued at €40-50m but Milan rejected the approach from the German side. They made it clear that they didn’t want to sell him.

Both Maignan and Hernandez’s importance has certainly been highlighted during the Euros as few in the world can match their quality. As such, Milan fans will be thrilled to hear that a renewal is around the corner for the goalkeeper, as those negotiations appeared to be the most complicated initially.

In the meantime, the duo are focused on clinching the trophy with France and it remains to be seen if they will succeed.
