Ardon Jashari has stressed that the AC Milan ‘means a lot’ to him, while he is hoping to experience Champions League nights at San Siro.
Jashari was one of Milan’s biggest summer investments in terms of financial outlay, with only Christopher Nkunku costing more. Negotiations with Club Brugge were long and complex, but the Rossoneri eventually got the deal over the line.

After suffering a leg fracture early in his time at the club and spending over two months out, his integration really seems to have accelerated in the past few games. In fact, Massimiliano Allegri sees him playing more alongside Luka Modric in the season finale, rather than being his deputy.
Jashari gave an interview to SportMediaset in which he spoke about his recovery from injury and his aims for the rest of the season, with his comments relayed by MilanNews.
How are you after your long lay-off?
“Now I feel 100% and I’m working to play more to help the team win matches.”
You arrived after negotiations that felt like they might never end…
“Milan means a lot to me. When they told me I could come to Milan, it was a dream come true. After a long negotiation, I was able to join this magical club.
“It’s a fantastic feeling to play for this club, every day and every match. I try to enjoy this feeling, to give everything on the pitch, and I hope to make every fan happy, but also proud, of me.”
What are the aims for this season?
“Reaching the Champions League is the main objective this season. When you play in that competition, you experience magical nights. It’s something we all have to achieve together.”
What is it like working with Allegri?
“The coach is very important for every player. Given his experience, what he’s done in the past, and the trophies he’s won, you can only listen to him because he knows exactly what Italian football is and what it takes to win. He’s a great coach, we see the passion he puts into it every day.”
Is it true you already knew a lot about Italian football?
“It’s true, I’ve watched a lot of Italian football in the past, especially Andrea Pirlo and Roberto Baggio, but I remember Pirlo and his style of play more.”
