Negotiations between AC Milan and Club Brugge for Ardon Jashari have been ongoing for almost two months, with no breakthrough.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), in the next few hours Jashari another meeting with the Brugge management, and once again he will reiterate a rather simple point: he wants to leave the club play for Milan.

The Belgian club have not granted his wish so far, and instead continue to put up a defensive wall. Will this be the right moment?
No new bid
Milan remain convinced they’ve done their best and are currently not planning any further new bids. The €33.5m fixed fee plus €4.5m in bonuses – barring any sensational surprises – will therefore not be raised any further.
A few weeks ago, this offer would likely have been enough to secure Club Brugge’s approval, but not today, as the Belgians have since received offers from England and Saudi Arabia worth over €40m which has hardened their stance.
Jashari, though, continues to focus solely on playing for Milan and will reiterate this once again to his leadership, hoping that this time he will finally be listened to. Meanwhile, the Swiss has been included in the UEFA squad for the third qualifying round of the Champions League.
He could theoretically make his season debut for Club Brugge on Wednesday in Salzburg (he has so far missed the Belgian Super Cup and the first two league games), but it seems unlikely while there is such a stand-off.

So he can’t reduce his contract to pay the difference and join? From what I understand this whole situation was created by his family/agent by telling Milan someone promised to sell him for 32M, which I honestly doubt ever happened. So they need to resolve it, pay the difference or convince Brugge is enough.
Bro…he is not earning that much. It’s probably a 2-3 million per year contract…out of that if he gives away 2 million for the difference then how would he join? He has to pay the agent also na bro. Its not like Adil Rami case where difference was only 500K.
This story has several talking points:
1..did the gentleman’s agreement exist for him to leave for 30m plus?..case in view, ademola lukman also had a gentleman’s agreement – but no transfer to Italian clubs, now he wants to move to Inter. What exactly were details of the agreement with Arson?
2. Did they set their requirements at 35m fixed plus bonuses from the very start or were they increasing it each time?
3. Brugge seem to have stuck to their guns at 35m fixed but Milan are going by the advice of the agent. It’s now his word versus the clubs?
4. If Milan knew from.the agent that the minimum.fee was 32.5m why then would Milan start with an offer well below that? Whose time were they wasting and what were they hoping to achieve?
5. IF the agent is correct, then we should have offered the required fee one time and stuck to our guns too. The player could now insist on that agreement. We were beating around the bush for over a month with low ball offers. We wasted their time, now they are wasting ours.
So if someone tells you another person will sell his prized asset for x amount and you go and the person tells you the price is Y amount, why would you still insist on paying lower than the amount demanded by the right people. It’s simple pay up if you think the player is who you need. Why are we destroying the player, he has already missed a lot of preseason
Why? Because that’s what a negotiation is about; you meet somewhere in the middle. They are periodically raising their asking price; that’s not fair. Reportedly now they want 41M. THEY are the ones destroying their own player, as they had previously promised to him that they would let him go if a club of his choice offered more than 30.
When you go buy a used car, do you immediately pay what the salesman quote? And what if you say OK to his first proposal, but he then tells you he wants even more? You’d tell him to go ffffff himself and would walk away. When you buy a new car, do you immediately pay the MSRP? If you do, you are a fool and the salesman will love you because you did not negotiate for a fair price.
That is a good question.

That is a very good question. But people that are biased in their reasoning would still find a way to frame it as brugge bad and Milan good
I think if we do get him now it will take a long time for him to settle and get up to speed and we could easily have another CdK situation, hopefully we’d have more patience this time.

Everybody but the news sites probably is but I’ve been it for close to a month to be honest 😀
Brugge will drag this out as long as they can then sell him to us the last day of the summer just to stick it to us.
They are just waiting to see if more expensive offers come and Jashari is forced to change his mind once Milan’s interest inevitably cools off.
Well I doubt that we will let this drag out for much longer so it seems like unless they have a change of heart he will be stuck there or join a different team.
The latest, published today by Pianeta Milan, is that Club Brugge are now saying that they want 41 Million. Evidently they don’t want to sell to Milan. If we were to say yes to 41 Million, then they would say that they changed their mind and want 45. Remember, before they had mentioned 35 M fixed; Milan’s proposal of 33.5 + 2 of very easily achievable bonuses (that Milan would qualify once for the UCL in the next 5 years) + 2.5 of other bonuses is fair enough; they keep raising the price.
I’d drop this negotiation immediately, publicly say that Club Brugge can’t be trusted and are amateurs (negotiations are fair when both parties concede something; they are not honoring their formal promise to the player that they would let him go “if a club of his choice offered more than 30 Million”) and announce that Milan will never do business with Club Brugge again.
Enough is enough. This would send a message to the market that Milan will not allow other clubs to abuse us. We’d lose this player (we do have enough midfielders) but in the future this stance would benefit us.
Some people say “just pay up.” Hm… even if we met their demands, they’d likely raise them again, and this player may be good but is unproven in Serie A; I don’t think he is worth 41 Million or more. Refocus on right back and striker as soon as possible.

To be fair I’ve previously been saying that Milan should just make it publicly clear to all prospects that aspire to one day join AC Milan that the Belgian club is the last club they should join as we simply wont deal with the club in the future. Brugge can demand whatever they want but this has become an ugly farce and a statement like that would further come back to bite them in their arses..

[LucaCohen] Milan is trying to propose to Brugge to pay for Jashari over fewer years (it should be 4 instead of 5), talks in progress. Let’s see the feedback from Belgium regarding this. At the moment, Milan is trying this strategy, but a relaunch or not is still not ruled out.
So basically we don’t want to up our offer (which I agree to btw) but still expect Brugge to accept an offer they already refused ? Frankly waiting till the last day of summer in the hope that Brugge will finally be “forced” to sell Jashari for whatever price doesn’t seem like a good strategy.
I’m really hoping that Tare has already moved on and has already agreed with another club/player and that all these headlines are simply misguided/fake.
