AC Milan acquired Alex Jimenez on a full-time basis in the summer, but he struggled to get first-team minutes in the first few months after the deal. This is not a cause for concern though.
In recent years, we have often seen Milan focus on the present and future of the club, which has resulted in the Rossoneri putting investment into younger talent for the Primavera, and also the introduction of the Futuro was an investment as well.
To date, perhaps the most exciting recruit has been Jimenez – the right back who arrived from Real Madrid initially on loan in the 2023 summer, not as Milan News admits, the Mexican striker who arrived in January.
In fact, the report starts just there. A look at the two players and how their names and paths slightly differ. Gimenez is a hope for the now and future, whereas Jimenez’s focus is mainly on the future, though he has the tools to have an impact now.
Under Paulo Fonseca and now Sergio Conceicao, the right-back has shown ‘true veteran’ qualities, which has greatly impressed the club, more so because of his ability to seamlessly transition between the first team and Futuro.
For this reason, retention is the word on the lips of the club, and there can be no objections to this. After all, Jimenez can become a pillar in the next few years, especially considering he already has shown he is able to play on the ‘big stage’.
Not even 20 he excites me when he gets on the ball just like Theo use to
Theo is alive and the last 2 game, he has been great… this Theo hate is so weird amongst the fans… he had issues, he worked them out and he will keep demonstrating his qualities again vs Empoli
Jimenez has not been tested in his role though, he was always LW or RW this month
“this Theo hate”
LOL. Hate. Hate this, hate that. If any word is being misused and overused, it’s this one. Even the “too old, too slow” -phrase loses to it by miles. Ridiculous. Just because a player isn’t performing as he should or isn’t acting professional doesn’t mean the criticizers HATE the guy.
And now that I said those things I’m sure King22 over here will label me as “King22 hater” because I criticized his comment and use of the word hate. Hate hate hate. Fng ridiculous.
Oh I would LOOOOOVE to get a new feature on this site: filter for word “hater”. Apply the filter and it hides all the comments that have the word “hater” in it. That would save time and save people from reading ridiculous comments in vain. Win-win.
You said the word “hate” several times more than he did…
Wow. You are clever.
it’s funny, sometimes we complain that we do not give chances to the young guys. What is young these days? Jimenez has played more than i though he would. Call me old, but anything under 24 is young in my eyes
Jimenez 19
Thiaw and Pavlo 23 (young for a CB tbh)
Bondo and Terracianno 21
Musah 22
Camarda and Bertesaghi 16 and 18
I know they arent from our academy but add to that Leao, Gabbia and now Santi G all 25 and under and i’d say there is plenty young in our squad.
He should transition to the wing, he’s not a defender. He could become a great attacker though, he has the vision, the interlink play, if he was at La Masia during Pep’s time at Barcelona he would’ve loved him.
Very correct. I think I prefer him as a winger than a defender. He carries so much threat going forward in the opposition area. He should be used permanently as a winger.
He doesn’t have the quality to finish attacking situations, he is poor defensively also so it’s a problem to fit him in a position
