AC Milan are one of the teams interested in signing Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Wilmar Barrios, according to a report.
After Milan-Cagliari on Saturday night Pioli – speaking in the press conference – Pioli admitted the need to sign midfielders in particular.
“The midfield department cannot be made up of only two starters, but four starters. 22 starters will be needed, it will be necessary to raise the level of the whole team,” he said.
MilanNews recently reported that the Rossoneri will not spend €30-40million for a single midfielder, and rather it is simpler to imagine this figure can be divided and spent on two players, maybe at €20m each.
The Colombia international joined from Boca Junior in February 2019 and the report suggests Zenit will likely only be open to selling Barrios for a profit on the €15m they spent.
