Journalist claims Milan and Spurs want Sampdoria star as Massara reaches out to Kjaer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Spurs are interested in signing winger Mikkel Damsgaard and have opened talks with Sampdoria, according to a report.

Damsgaard was among the players who most shone in the last season with Sampdoria, and at the European Championships with Denmark he is continuing his excellent form, scoring a fundamental goal against Russia after a great performance against Belgium.

According to the latest from Ekrem Konur, Tottenham and Milan want Damsgaard to reinforce their attack ahead of the new season, and their interest is so concrete that official contacts with Sampdoria have begun to try and strike a deal.

Milan sporting director Ricky Massara has even held a conversation with defender Simon Kjaer to learn about Damsgaard, since they play for the same national team and are currently involved in the European Championships together. The 20-year-old scored twice and added four assists in Serie A last season in 35 appearances.
