Journalist claims Milan defender is likely to leave with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona having enquired

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli could very well have a future in Spain as enquiries have come from two top clubs, a report claims.

According to what was revealed by Alessandro Jacobone on Twitter, it seems more and more likely that Romagnoli’s experience with Milan will end six years after joining from Roma. His agent Mino Raiola – who looks set to take Gianluigi Donnarumma away from Milan too – will now start looking for a new home for his client, with enquiries from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona in recent days.

However, he adds that no negotiations will take place once Euro 2020 commences later this month, meaning that if a new club has not been found for the Italy international then he could join the Rossoneri for preseason. Romagnoli has lost his spot in the starting XI to Chelsea loanee Fikayo Tomori and with his contract set to expire at the end of next season, a crossroads seems imminent.

  1. This is great news! He never deserved to be the captain of Milan. Sell this other rubbish Raiola client and cut all ties with him.

Then, give the captain’s armband to the one who really deserves it : il Presidente Franck “The Tank” Kessie.

  2. Good by captain. Its good for Milan and the player. Welcome for the new captain Franck Kessie and his deputy De Paul.

  3. The Romagnoli hatred on here has reached silly levels. Simply put, he is not a tactical fit for a high line and space game. Spain would be a worse fit for him. I can see him easily being a top player in France or Germany, which are closer to a fit for his skillsets.

  4. We are Lucky to be avoiding Raiola and his greedy players. We must never do any business with him ever again.

    1. Yes Old Kjaer> jackass Romagnoli. Unsteady Tomori even being right footed displaced Romagnoli. so yes. 30M + 3.5 M would be saved
