Journalist claims Milan’s chief scout Moncada has scouted young striker in person

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada has been on a personal scouting mission to watch Lorenzo Lucca of Pisa, according to one journalist.

Milan’s owners Elliott have so far preferred a recruitment strategy centered around buying young players with high potential to develop into the future core, as seen through several of their investments like Theo Hernandez, Ismael Bennacer, Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori and Alexis Saelemaekers.

Accoding to the latest from journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Milan have a keen interest in signing former Palermo striker Lorenzo Lucca, who has helped fire Pisa to top spot in Serie B having netted 6 goals in the first 7 games of the season.

Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada actually went to Parma two weeks ago to scout the young striker directly and get a first hand view of his strengths, weaknesses and potential. With an ageing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud plus doubts over Pietro Pellegri, it could be that Lucca is seen as a real option for the future.

  1. I’m really sad that the club let Hauge leave, he didn’t get his chance and would have help a lot in the right wing position
