Milan are evaluating the idea of signing another striker this summer, as Luka Jovic has left the club and Tammy Abraham has returned to Roma. Santiago Gimenez is currently alone, as such, and he could use a high-level teammate to alternate or play with.
Vlahovic, the Juventus striker, has been heavily linked with Milan ever since Max Allegri was announced as the new head coach. According to the well-known Juventus journalist Gianni Balzarini, there is good reason for this as the Serbian wants to join the Rossoneri.
“Here’s the problem, guys, he chose a team, Milan. He has chosen Milan. He doesn’t care about going to Fenerbahce, he doesn’t care about Saudi Arabia. The Premier League didn’t move as expected either, so at the moment, he’s stuck on the idea of leaving Juventus for Milan.
“Milan won’t go beyond €25m for the transfer fee, but Juve could accept this given the savings on the salary. The problem is that Ristic (agent) continues to ask for a lot of money. Milan’s offer is around 6-7 million plus bonuses, Ristic continues to ask for more.
“Maybe not the €12m he earns at Juventus, but let’s say that he will struggle to go below €10m,” he concluded.
It remains to be seen if Milan will deepen talks with Juventus and the striker’s entourage. The problem seems to be the salary, as despite the offer of €6-7m plus bonuses, the entourage seems to be holding out for at least €10m (he currently earns €12m at Juventus).
