Juan Jesus sour after Milan full-time celebrations: “We’re the team to beat”

It seems that Napoli have a somewhat enhanced image of themselves, with Juan Jesus the latest to believe AC Milan overcelebrated.

There can be no denying the fact that Napoli may have, statistically at least, gotten the better of Milan. However, when watching the game and looking at the all-important stat, the Rossoneri were never really troubled.

In fact, Massimiliano Allegri has played in a similar style to Sunday for years, where he has looked to get on the counter after soaking up pressure. It was a prime example of getting a result, rather than entertaining. Something the Italian has regularly looked to do.

Conte and now Jesus

Ahead of their Champions League fixture, Antonio Conte stated that his side ‘dominated’ at the weekend, and now Juan Jesus has commented on the loss, as MilanNews relays.

“It’s September, I see controversy, there’s anticipation, and everyone wants to win. I hope so, in all competitions. We’re the team to beat. Look at how Milan celebrated at the end of the game; it means we’ve annoyed a few people.

“I’m fine with that, we have the right mentality and experience, even with De Bruyne. Unfortunately, Lukaku is out, but Di Lorenzo and others are there, and we’re continuing our journey. We’re annoying and we’ll continue to do so.”

If, like Jesus says, Napoli are the team to beat, then they are already halfway there to something great this season.

  1. Remember when Milan were champions and then in the fall Napoli won 1-2 at San Siro? Remember how they celebrated? This guy is a joke, he’s not even starter material

  2. These dudes got lucky last season to barely win the scudetto because every other team was doo doo and now they are feeling themselves.
    Milan celebrated the way they did because they beat you even though they played with a man down for an entire half. 11v11 they were outplaying you, easily.
    Also, they should stop with the injuries excuse. They didn’t care about excuses last season when they beat Milan 2-0 and Milan had to play without their 2 best players Reijnders and Pulisic, plus Hernández was also suspended.
    Milan lined up with
    Maignan,
    Emerson, Thiaw, Pavlovic, Terracciano;
    RLC, Fofana. Musah;
    Chukwueze. Morata, Okafor.

    Speaking of Musah.
    Atalanta was down 0-1 to Brugge. Enter Musah. Atalanta wins 2-1. Impact

    1. Terracciano seems to be playing well too for Cremonese. Playing almost every game as a starting RCB.

      A defence that has conceded 4 goals in 5 games is not bad for a club most expected to be in the heart of the relegation battle.

    2. “Atalanta was down 0-1 to Brugge. Enter Musah. Atalanta wins 2-1. Impact”

      I’m 100% Atalanta wont just because of Musah’s insane potential. If they fielded him from the start they’d win the scudetto & UCL this year. Musah’s potential is greater than Messi.

    3. “These dudes got lucky last season to barely win the scudetto because every other team was doo doo and now they are feeling themselves.”

      Exactly like we did in 2021-22.

      “Milan celebrated the way they did because they beat you even though they played with a man down for an entire half. 11v11 they were outplaying you, easily.”

      Hmm. Napoli had 62% possession at the half. Not sure I would call that being “easily outplayed”. Napoli were also missing 3/4 starting defenders.

      All I’m saying is we should keep our feet on the ground. 5 games have been played. Nothing has been decided yet. Now it’s our turn to go into the Juventus game with defensive problems, as we might have two starters out. Let’s see if Bartesaghi and De Winter are up for it.

  3. It’s like Napoli went to a specialist “house of ill repute.” They think they were the dominators, but they’re the ones who came out with a sore backside!

  4. ” Look at how Milan celebrated at the end of the game; it means we’ve annoyed a few people.”

    LOL!!! How delirous is he?!!! Annoyed? Nope, when the lads play with 10 men for 30 minutes and still manages to win, it will cause celebrations. Being “annoyed” by anyone has nothing to do with it.
