Juventus and AC Milan were forced to settle for a share of the points as they played out a goalless draw at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday night.
There are no doubts about who will come away feeling more regrets, as Christian Pulisic missed a penalty kick in the second half by blazing it over the bar. Rafael Leao also sent a sitter wide after coming off the bench, and Milan would have to make do with a draw.

The winning run becomes an unbeaten one for the Rossoneri, who remain in third place but fall two points behind Napoli and Roma, who moved onto 15 points before the international break with wins earlier on Sunday.
Massimiliano Allegri once again opted for consistency in his starting XI, with the only change being Davide Bartesaghi coming in to replace the suspended Pervis Estupinan. Fikayo Tomori passed a late fitness test and kept his spot in the three-man defence.
The opening 10 minutes were cagey as expected, with Milan dominating the ball but not really managing to breach their opponents. The only moments of panic at both ends came via balls from out wide that were scrambled clear.
A nice one-two between Alexis Saelemaekers and Youssouf Fofana saw the latter go down inside the box in the 18th minute while trying to latch onto a feed inside the box, but the shouts for a penalty were rightly ignored.
The game burst into life a bit just before the midway point of the first half. Firstly Adrien Rabiot won the ball back from Conceicao but Pulisic fell over having dribbled the ball into the box, then at the other end a low cross was about to be met by Jonathan David but was cut out in the nick of time.
Juventus grew into the game as they settled into a stance of soaking up Milan’s periods on the ball and trying to cause issues in transition, with a cross and a flick just getting beyond an unmarked David at the far post. Moments later, at the other end, Rabiot shot over from 25 yards with a powerful attempt.
Santiago Gimenez got his first real involvement in the 32nd minute, creating a chance all by himself as he picked the ball up and weaved around challenges to get free on the left side of the box. On his favoured right foot, he could only lift a tame effort into the arms of Di Gregorio, who claimed at the second attempt.
Juve’s main threat was by getting the ball to the byline and looking for pull-backs to one of the runners into the box. It nearly worked perfectly when David met one, yet after a decent touch he slipped over and the danger was averted.
Three minutes before the break, Milan came the closest either side had to breaking the deadlock. Just like the second goal against Napoli one week ago, a driving run from Strahinja Pavlovic seemed to cause confusion, and his cross was met by Gimenez’s glancing header that landed just wide of the far post.
Just a couple of minutes into the second half, Mike Maignan pulled off a simply spectacular stop. A corner was taken short and floated into the box, and Federico Gatti chested the ball down alone in behind the Milan defence, yet the French goalkeeper had sprung off his line and denied him with a reflex stop.
In the 52nd minute, there was a hugely controversial moment that led to Milan being given a penalty. A ball clipped over the top from Modric was about to be met by the run of Gimenez but he was bundled over by Lloyd Kelly. The referee gave the spot kick, which was uphold, yet Pulisic lifted his effort over the bar.

Milan were not dismayed by the missed penalty but instead seemed more fired up by it. Pulisic drew a low save from Di Gregorio with a fierce shot, then the keeper spilled a striker from Fofana from range but the ball was cleared.
Just after the hour mark, Allegri made his first changes. Gimenez and Fofana were the ones who made way, with Rafael Leao and Ruben Loftus-Cheek coming on.
Leao’s first involvement was not a million miles away from being something quite ridiculous as he tried to lob Di Gregorio from near the halfway line having spotted him off his line, though it ended up just over.
His next involvement was a monumental opportunity to give the Rossoneri the lead. A clipped cross from Pulisic missed Loftus-Cheek’s bicycle kick and fell to Leao at the far post, who chested down well yet somehow dragged his shot wide of the near post from just a few yards out. Shortly after, Christopher Nkunku replaced Pulisic.
The final big chance of the game fell to Leao too, and it was a lovely through ball from Modric that found his run in behind. He didn’t really connect sweetly with his shot, though Di Gregorio did have to save it, and Loftus-Cheek’s rebound attempt was scuffed into the ground.
Sell Leao. He doesn’t want run, pressing, hard work. The most worst is that because of Leao other players suffers in defending, lost their calming. First Pulisic then Tomori shouting at Leao , because he didn’t participate in pressing
Bro please, leao is one of our best players. And i really think allegri knows more than you. Feel bad for puli, missing in a big game is not easy but he will be back. Bartesaghi very good second half. Modric as always good. Someone also needs to tell tomori to stop taking his hands up every single time he thinks that its offisde or a freekick. Pathetick. Seriously, the guy has not played any games he is bound to lack sharpness, but with him on the pitch Juve can’t overload in attack being fearful of our counter attack, it is not always about running, there a lot of nuances you do not realise when you are watching.
Juve did well and held their lines they were able to keep our full backs at bay and it is always difficult go through centre, but a tough game out of the way 4 points out of Napoli and Juve is great form and a clean sheet, we were not really threatened and Gatti was offside (though Mike wouldn’t have known that), we had 3 clear opportunities, Pulii with the penalty, point blank header for Santi who just had to direct it on target and Rafa should have score at the far post.
Juve got lucky against us, but still good consistency from us, Sqlesmaeekers had a great battle with Cambiaso

I’m seriously fed up with Leaps attitude, still walking and missing chances and have the audacity to still smile after FT… Not the good attitude, I’d rather continue with Santi and Puli upfront
Say what you want about Gimenez but he clearly fits this new system better thatn Leao. I mean you can see how the tempo dropped as soon as Gimenez and Pulisic came off. Sadly we’ll have to admit that Leao is one dimensional in the sense that he’s only good at getting the ball in the wing and running at the defenders but not the kind of guy who’ll play with his back to goal. Just like Allegri, I’m also wondering how Nkunku fits into this team. Not saying he’s a bad player but I’m yet to understand what he offers off the bench. I’m beginning to like Fofana (even though he still has those annoying shots) and I was kinda wishing he played on. I think the positive from today’s performance is that we kept a clean sheet and Maignan is partly to thank for that cuz of that save.
My biggest question is what we do with Leao. The team plays better without him (in my opinion) and he doesn’t try to defend hence causing the tempo to drop somewhat. I’ll say something crazy but if we hadn’t sold Okafor, and we hadn’t bought Nkunku that’s a profit in the books right?
Today feels more like a loss than a draw cuz of those missed chances but you can’t win ’em all. Onto the next one
Erm… I’m just thinking what’d have happened if Gimenez had that chance that fell to Leao. Left foot, close to goal, better finisher of the two (in my opinion), looking for a first league goal… 😅

Have some faith in Nkunku, he played too little today to be judged by that. He will be an important part of the team soon, he just arrived he can offer us a lot more then Okafor, one of our worst signings in last years in my opinion. Tare did a miracle selling him to Leeds for 19 mil.
Leao will learn from todays game, at least i hope so.I am sure Allegri, Modrić and the rest will give him some heated conversations…
Agree with the nkunku, but strongly disagree with the okafor. Two seasons ago, when our bench was okafor and jovic, i actually liked both a lot. They were both clinical finishers and if i remember correctly, they both scored almost 10 goals each from the bench to save us the season.
Okafor wasn’t particularly a good player, but sometimes he had a spark and always he was very clinical, finishing some really though first touch shots, wont forget that. For me really good bench player signing.
Check Okafor’s stats for 1st season. Lots of goals for played minutes. And IMPORTANT goals too. Late winners. Okafor was decent.
Puli had uncharacteristic mistakes, but still caused the few dangerous looks, and assists, we had, perhaps along with Santi, today.
Hard to see Leao in this Allegri’s Milan with the grinta and attitude shown by Pulisic and Santi. He’ll still be our important player of course, but the team no longer revolve around him.

This is the problem: Leao is finished. There is nothing more from him. This is what you get when a player prioritizes music, lifestyle and salary than becoming a master of football. There is a reason C Ronaldo is the greatest player ever (constant training, constant hardwork, constant dedication). What we have now with leao and likes is laziness and stupidity. Just lookimg at him you can tell. You want to be great? Train morning, training evening, 24,7. Not train once or twice a week and the rest in studio or social media. If i was the coach, na koboko i go use pieces him head after this match.

Good game, Milan was unlucky not to win. 3 out of 4 attackers playing for Milan could have scored easily but when they all miss their chances a draw is amazing.
Unfortunately this is just Leao’s ceiling. On his day he’s unbeatable and the best LW in the world, BUT. His day only comes around about once every 2 months. Its no good having that talent if you only show up 1/10 games. 5-6 good games a season is not world class, its the same category guys like Hatem Ben Arfa and Theo Walcott go in. At this point, id honestly prefer Nkunku comes in before leao, simply for effort alone
