‘Contacts with the agent’ – Journalist claims Juventus want Tomori as Bremer cover

Juventus were dealt a big blow a few days ago when they discovered that Gleison Bremer will be out for months after a ligament injury, and Fikayo Tomori is reportedly on a list of players they could sign as cover.

The Brazilian centre-back sustained a cruciate ligament injury in his left knee last week in the early stages of their Champions League game against RB Leipzig, and he underwent surgery on it earlier in the week.

Several sources in Italy claim that the Brazilian will be forced to the sidelined for at least six months which is bad news for Thiago Motta, who had made him an important part of his plans and the anchor of a four-man back line.

According to what is being reported by Paolo Paganini of Rai Sport, the Juve management are looking at various options to come in during the January window and provide some cover so Bremer doesn’t have to rush his recovery.

In addition to Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal – who Motta helped develop while he was the head coach of Spezia – in the last few hours ‘there have been contacts with the agent of Tomori’ as per the journalist.

It certainly feels unlikely that Milan would consider letting another centre-back go to Juve given they might have some regrets about the loan of Pierre Kalulu.

    1. Any manager who can’t give basic instructions is a cancer to the team…

There’s literally no players who know what they’re doing out there.

Every CB bar Gabbia has struggled.

Every FB has struggled (and he’s used about 10).

Fofana is the only midfielder who has a vague idea of what he’s doing, and he’s still leaving the FBs exposed to 2v1s (unless the plan is for the wingers to come back for which they don’t seem to have go the memo).

Theo, Leao and Pulisic are doing their usual individual stuff.

Our strikers don’t seem to know what to do as strikers (but Morata has given a good go in his role as ‘please just run around and help everyone in the team’.

      It’s a mess.

      1. “Any manager who can’t give basic instructions is a cancer to the team…”

So… What were the instructions Fonseca gave to them? We’d all like to know but since you seem to have aaaaall the answers (as always), why don’t you be a sport and share them with the rest of us, eh?

        We’re all ears.

        1. When did ever say I have all of the answers?

I am constantly having to point out to people that most of what is said around here are OPINIONS (not always tethered to reality).

Do you disagree with anything I’ve said?

Now personally I think we probably need to move to a 343

          Tomori Gabbia Pavlovic

          Calabria Fofana Reijnders Theo

          Pulisic Morata Leao

            – I do.

“Any manager who can’t give basic instructions is a cancer to the team…

There’s literally no players who know what they’re doing out there.”

I’m sure Fonseca has given even so basic instructions that a teenager could follow. In fact if you look at the pre-season matches you can see that Milan had a completely new playing style and the passing was beautiful and quick. The players seemed to “click” well too. In just 2-3 weeks. All the young and “now elsewhere” players played well too. It looked like we’re going to have an awesome season. Then the “legends” (or the leaders if you prefer) came back and everything crumpled.

Fonseca isn’t as bad as people believe. Sure, he’s not perfect. But he has already fixed some of the issues Pioli had. Too bad the (key) players seem to disrespect him (and the team altogether) and he isn’t being given a proper chance.

Sure, I never was behind appointing him as the coach. But he’s here and he’s better than Pioli. But it’s all doomed already as it seems he cannot change the mind of the kids in charge though (or think they’re in charge). The only solutions here are:
            a) get rid of the kindergarten-kids or
            b) sack Fonseca.

We all know the b-option will happen sooner or later. He doesn’t have the balls to make the kids respect him.

        2. “. It looked like we’re going to have an awesome season. Then the “legends” (or the leaders if you prefer) came back and everything crumpled.”
@bb u make an interesting point..one I’ve been thinking about for a while now. I think Fonseca’s system did work and he should have kept playing the ones who knew the system. Unfortunately, for a coach one of his responsibilities is to deal with egos and get them on your side, to do what you ask them to do in the way u want. Sure the returning players are of higher quality but they have different characteristics than the ones that played in preseason. And that’s where things went awry. He could quicker achieve results at Marseille but at Milan there’s no time for a coach. However he is who he is and I don’t see him as one who puts his foot down and even ppl at the club undermines him. That’s the difference between a 2.5m. coach and a 7m coach. Not advocating for Conte or any coach for that matter, but Conte would have stuck a boot up these guys or have them shipped out already for good or for bad but either way for the proper functioning of the team. I would not have mind if we played the preseason guys for longer. 100%

  1. Even if he did some mistakes recently it wouldn´t be a good idea to give them our next defender.

kalulu & tomori match very well together.
don´t make your direct opponents stronger.

  2. If we hadn’t gifted Kalulu to Juventus they’d be f*cked now with Bremer tearing his ACL… Surely we couldn’t be dumb enough to do the same thing twice…

  3. Furlani & Zlatan will probably loan him out for free. That’s basically what they did with Kalulu too. Aiding the direct opponent for peanuts. Fng morans.

  4. Will not be surprised if even that happens(lots of belief with this management than previous).

And at this huge pressure from every side I don’t see why the player will not accept where they can go and play peacefully.

And he can be a partner with Kalulu and compete with other good CB players.

And when one of our CB got injured we will be running everywhere to find new cheaper replacement.

  5. Watch Tomori ends up at Juve and gains Cannavaro levels of hops 😂😂.
I’ve been saying for some time now, love Tomori as a defender except his one glaring weakness. He should be seriously trying to compensate for his lack of height….and thus aerial ability, by trying to work on his hops. He needs next level (Cannavaro) type of hops and imo this would get him over to the next tier.
The goal.vs Fiorentina was a prime example of his poor jumping ability.
