CorSera: Kalulu makes himself undroppable and pushes Romagnoli closer to Lazio

By Oliver Fisher -

Pierre Kalulu seems to have definitively overtaken Alessio Romagnoli in the defensive hierarchies which is likely to have a big impact on the future of the latter.

This morning’s edition of il Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes how the Kalulu-Tomori duo at the centre of the Rossoneri’s defence has been working so well that the Frenchman has effectively stolen a starting position from Romagnoli.

The paper goes on to add that the Milan captain’s contract is about to expire and he is moving ever closer to joining his boyhood club Lazio, who could use a hand at the back if their 3-0 loss to Roma is anything to go by.

Kalulu and Tomori have now featured together in four games as centre-backs and they are yet to concede a goal, so it is obvious why Pioli will not disrupt a pairing that is clearly working in what is a vital part of the season.
