CM: Milan remain interested in Marseille midfielder but Rangnick’s Man Utd enter the race

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan remain interested in signing Boubacar Kamara from Marseille but they now face competition from Manchester United, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports that among the positions Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are considering addressing in January is the midfield, given that Bennacer and Kessie will leave for the African Cup of Nations early in January. The hypothesis of bringing forward the arrival from Bordeaux of Yacine Adli by 6 months is being taken into due consideration, but Kamara remains an option.

Kamara has become a staple of Marseille despite being just 21 as he has played 14 league games and 5 in the Europa League so far this season, but he will not be renewing his contract with them which expires in June 2022. Milan, Juve and some Premier League teams have taken an interest in signing him and in the last few hours Manchester United have entered the race.

Ralf Rangnick likes Kamara for his physical and technical characteristics, and sees the Frenchman as someone who could be ideal for his project of revolution. Of course United have greater economic strength than that of any Italian club and could offer a higher salary. Milan, therefore, might now be in the back seat.

  1. SIGN KAMARA!!!!!!! Pay Marseille 10M and secure him in January before other clubs like this article says (Man U) come around…we should not let this opportunity get away. Kamara is a direct replacement for Kessie and will be even better
