Kvicha Kvaratskhelia finally got his first goal against AC Milan last night, and he believes that Napoli deserved their win at San Siro.
Milan were hoping to send a message to the rest of the league that they should be considered in the battle for the Scudetto, but instead they were beaten 2-0 by Antonio Conte’s side.
Both goals came in the first half for the visitors as Romelu Lukaku got the opener with a typical powerful run and finish, before Kvaratskhelia doubled the advantage just before the break in a half that Milan otherwise dominated.
It was actually the first goal that the Georgian has scored at San Siro and against Milan in general, after six previous games without managing to net.
Kvaratskhelia spoke to DAZN at full-time to reflect on what was another important three points for Napoli which puts them seven clear at the top for the time being.
“First goal at San Siro? I worked hard for this, but the important thing is the victory, we showed a great mentality and we deserved to win, we are happy. We believe in the Scudetto, we are doing well and we have to continue like this, we can do it,” he said (via MilanPress).

First time he’s not playing against Calabria.
Coincidence? Think not.
We should have signed this guy… the fact is that Napoli paid little for him, and even though his last season was bad, he has already proven his qualities amply.
Even if we signed him he’d been a reserve for rafa.
Easy to say oh yeah that was a good deal.
Napoli bought an unknown winger from Georgia that had meh stats for 13M. They got lucky af.
Lucky? No. That’s the difference of a great scout and a fng awful one. Guess which one we have?
Or actually “scouting” instead of scout as there are usually multiple people involved.
Definitely lucky. Apart from kvara name one unknown player napoli signed in the last 5 years that made it big..
If I remember right the agent was offering kvara left and right throughout Europe and napoli took a chance.
