La Nazione: Fiorentina want Milan star Romagnoli – the hypothesis is a swap deal

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan defender Alessio Romagnoli is attracting surprise interest from Serie A rivals Fiorentina ahead of the summer window, a report claims.

Romagnoli’s contract is due to expire on 30 June 2022, and while the likes of Juventus and Barcelona have been credited with interest, the vast majority of reports agree that the 25-year-old wants to renew and will renew will Milan.

According to the latest from La Nazione (via MilanLive) though, Fiorentina are ready to pounce if there should be a break in the negotiations with agent Mino Raiola.

La Viola are interested in acquiring the Italy international, who could land in Florence through an exchange deal involving their own star centre-back in Serbia international Nikola Milenkovic.

Milenkovic has been repeatedly linked with a move to Milan over the last few weeks as the club’s management are in talks with his agent Fali Ramadani over Ante Rebic, but the hypothesis of losing Romagnoli in such a manner seems impossible.
