CM: Lazio ready to ‘accelerate’ pursuit of Romagnoli as centre-back lines up Betis move

By Oliver Fisher -

Lazio are ready to accelerate their pursuit of AC Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli as they are close to losing a centre-back, a report claims.

According to what is being reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Luiz Felipe is moving closer to leaving Lazio once his contract expires at the end of the season and he seems to have his next destination already lined up.

He adds that there is not much missing before a total agreement between the Brazilian defender and Real Betis will be fully defined, meaning a future in LaLiga with the Andalusian club beckons.

In another tweet, Longo adds that Lazio are ready to quickly respond to losing a defender who has been influential for them in the past few seasons by replacing him with someone who has been influential to Milan: Alessio Romagnoli.

The capital club are expected to ‘accelerate’ their pursuit of the 27-year-old, whose contract is also expiring in June and is a boyhood Lazio fan.
