Messaggero: Lazio squad ravaged by flu – double session ahead of Milan game cancelled

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s opponents on Sunday are in a bit of a crisis as a number of key Lazio players are suffering due to a flu that has ravaged the squad.

According to Il Messaggero (via MilanNews), the flu outbreak began sweeping through the squad a few hours before their game against Torino meaning many Biancocelesti players suffered through the game on Saturday evening.

Then, a number of them reported a high fever yesterday and a double session scheduled for this afternoon had to be cancelled because of the amount of players that are inflicted by the symptoms.

Luiz Felipe is back but Thomas Strakosha, Adamonis, Marusic, Radu, Milinkovic-Savic, Cataldi and Raul Moro are still missing. Maurizio Sarri is willing to welcome them back one by one based on when they are feeling better but he is particularly hopeful of getting Milinkovic-Savic back soon given his importance to the team.
