Le Fee’s agent claims Milan were interested before Roma move: “Always aroused interest”

Enzo Le Fee moved from Stade Rennais to Roma in the summer, but today, his agent has suggested that his path may have led to a different Italian team previously – that path being to AC Milan.

The midfield has been an area of heavy focus for Milan in recent years, and with Sandro Tonali’s sale, the Rossoneri brought in Tijjani Reijnders and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. This summer, only Youssouf Fofana was added, but he has already been causing an impact.

It does not come as a shock to hear that the Diavolo were once interested in Le Fee, given Geoffrey Moncada has had an extensive love for the French market – which we saw with the Fofana purchase. However, the Rossoneri chose a different direction in the mercato at that point.

Today, the Frenchman’s agent spoke to Sportialia and revealed how far Milan’s interest went in the player, and his words have been relayed by Calciomercato.com.

“Enzo has always aroused a lot of interest among the big clubs. In January 2023, he was close to moving to Borussia Dortmund, and in the summer of the same year to Bayer Leverkusen. However, he chose to go to Rennes because of the special bond with coach Bruno Génésio. Milan had also shown interest in the summer of 2023.”

    1. If ManCity is considered a big club then Borussia Dortmund is a big club as well.
BTW Borussia Dortmund just played in the UCL final, while Leverkusen won Bundesliga and played in the Europa league final.
Roma is a big club too.
There are levels when it comes to big clubs, but all of them are big clubs compared to Rennes.

      1. Nah little friend. Shíty became a big club after dominating for a decade.
BvB is, probably, the second biggest in Germany.

Doesn’t make them a big club. Let’s be honest they pay less than a “big” club in serie A. And we’re the second best league in the world atm.

        1. What… who….? eh?

Dortmund’s wage bill is higher than Milan’s, for a start. They have several players paid more than any of ours. And the Bundesliga has a bigger value TV deal than Serie A does.

Football fans’ obsession with the word ‘big’ is always laughable, like there’s any realistic measurement for it. There are 120000 professional footballers in the world, only the top one percent would have a change at a club like Leverkusen or Dortmund or Milan, so fair play to him for doing so IMO.
