AC Milan remain interested in a move for Marseille winger Florian Thauvin but face competition from two clubs, a report in France claims.
According to le10sport.com, the Rossoneri have returned to the idea of trying to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer once his contract expires at the end of next season.
Thauvin does not plan to leave Marseille this summer, but he is ready to leave next summer after a season in the Champions League.
The source adds that Inter are also watching watching the situaiton closely, while Marseille’s Ligue 1 rivals OGC Nice have also entered the race. The Aiglons have asked for information on the situation of the player and the possibility of an operation.
As ambitious as their management is, it is still believed that they have virtually no chance of signing Thauvin, while it will also be very hard for them to sign Tiémoué Bakayoko – another player repeatedly linked with Milan.
His salary demands, combined with the €35million requested by Chelsea, mean he is out of reach for Nice.
