Paris Saint-Germain are ‘ready to make an offer’ for AC Milan’s star young midfielder Ismael Bennacer this summer, a report claims.
Of all the signings made by the Rossoneri last summer, it would be fair to say that Bennacer has been among the most impressive.
He initially struggled for game time after his arrival from Empoli for a fee widely reported to be €16m plus bonuses, with Marco Giampaolo preferring to use Lucas Biglia in the regista role.
However, after Stefano Pioli took the reins the Algeria international made the position his own, and the 2019 AFCON Player of the Tournament winner has shown the kind of dynamism and battle that has been missing from Milan’s midfield for some time.
According to Le10Sport though (via MilanNews), his exploits have caught the attention of PSG, who are looking for new reinforcements for their midfield.
The Ligue 1 giants have targeted Bennacer in particular, with sporting director Leonardo and the Parisians’ leadership willing to test Milan’s resolve with an offer this summer.
