This season he has made just two league appearances after undergoing surgery on an ankle issue, and with his contract set to expire in 2021 the Ligue 1 side have found themselves with a dilemma.
According to Sunday’s edition of French newspaper L’Equipe (via CalcioMercatoWeb), a market derby is expected between Inter and Milan for Thauvin as both teams have long followed the 27-year-old with interest.
The paper adds that Marseille are in a delicate financial situation and could find themselves having to sell to make cash. For this reason, Thauvin could be available for €20m due to his contractual situation, with both Milan clubs cited as having interest.
