L’Equipe: Milan in talks over deal for right winger but €50m asking price has been set

News of AC Milan’s interest in Domenico Berardi of Sassuolo seems to have spread outside of Italy as L’Equipe also confirmed the Rossoneri want him.

The French newspaper (via MilanLive), Milan are in dialogue with Sassuolo to verify the feasibility of a possible operation involving Berardi, who continues to impress with Italy at the European Championships after a season in which he scored 17 league goals and added 8 assists.

From an economic point of view everything appears very complex because the Neroverdi value Berardi’s card at no less than €50m, a figure which it seems very difficult to imagine Milan paying and one that could even rise if he continues to play well at the Euros.

Milan have already spent over €40m on the summer market to buy Mike Maignan and sign Fikayo Tomori on a permanent basis, but the possibility of having a guaranteed goal threat on the right of Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 must be very tempting.
