AC Milan are interested in signing Bordeaux midfielder Jean Onana who could be available for a reduced price, a report claims.
L’Equipe writes that after suffering relegation to the second division following a disastrous campaign in which they finished bottom, Bordeaux are preparing for an eventful summer that will require a lot of players to leave.
The Bordeaux management are counting on 16 to 18 departures, including those who are out of contract and those whose loan deals will expire, but also some player sales to raise money. The three biggest market values in the squad are Junior Onana, Alberth Elis and Ui-jo Hwang, and all are expected to be sold.
Valued at €10m, Onana is of particular interest to Schalke 04 and Milan as per the report. The Cameroon international predominantly players as a defensive midfielder and scored 3 goals in 23 league appearances last season, with a valuation of €10m apparently placed on the 22-year-old.
