L’Equipe: PSG consider Milan and Newcastle target as alternative to Inter star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Newcastle United may yet face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Sven Botman if they do not land their number one target.

Damien Degorre – a journalist for L’Equipe – spoke to La Chaîne L’Équipe (via MilanNews) regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s pursuit of a new centre-back. He reports that if plan A fails, which is Milan Skriniar of Inter, the Ligue 1 winners may decide to shift their attention to Botman as an alternative.

The Dutchman is highly regarded by the Parisian club as they will have seen him first hand over the past couple of seasons, given he was part of a formidable back line under Christophe Galtier that wrestled the Ligue 1 crown from PSG in 2020-21.

Botman could therefore be left choosing between the chance of playing in the Champions League and fighting for trophies with PSG and Milan or marrying an ambitious and cash-rich new project in the Premier League.
