CorSport: Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal monitoring Milan midfielder amid renewal talks

By Oliver Fisher -

There are three Premier League sides circling hoping to pounce in the event Ismael Bennacer decides to leave AC Milan, according to a report.

According to what Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning, Bennacer has many admirers in England and it is for this reason that Milan are trying to accelerate the renewal of the Algerian’s contract, which is currently set to expire in June 2024.

The teams most interested in signing the former Empoli man are Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, Graham Potter’s Chelsea – who saw him first hand in the Champions League – and Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal with whom Bennacer has already played in the past.

In the current contract there is a release clause of €50m valid only for abroad, which would not be an impossible figure for these teams to reach, but of course the intention is to agree a renewal in which case that amount could change or be removed altogether.
