CorSport: Liverpool launch bid for Milan midfielder ahead of January window

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is attracting interest from Liverpool while discussions over a new deal continue, a report claims.

According to il Corriere dello Sport (via TribalFootball), Liverpool have tabled a bid for Bennacer in view of the January transfer window, when the Algeria international will have less than 18 months remaining on his contract with Milan.

The paper claims that Liverpool are admirers of the 25-year-old and have submitted an offer for him, but the report does not mention how much and whether the Rossoneri management would entertain the idea of a sale part way through the season.

Milan are aiming to tie him down to a new long-term contract with Bennacer having just changed his agent to Enzo Raiola, the cousin of the late Mino Raiola, with talks expected to get underway again soon in the hopes of finding an agreement with the former Arsenal and Empoli man.

  1. Milan can get low amount for their best players, compare to amounts that Milan give for arrival transfers. Milan must upgrade their transfer, and salary policy. Look how Juventus do it.

      1. I always think current milan tranfer management look s**t compared to juve inter until juve recent crisis.. i mean money under table always exist so why dont we do the same?.. but seeing the crisis will severely damage juve.. im so happy milan choose to be clean.

    1. Juventus. LOL. You really couldn’t have picked a better example here. You mean the Juventus that had 11 board members resigned due to fixing the accounts? LOL!!!!
