Sportitalia: ‘Winter revolution’ – Loftus-Cheek and Chukwueze free to leave Milan

With signings needed, AC Milan could have a ‘winter revolution’ according to a report this afternoon, with two out-of-favour first-teamers potentially on the chopping block.

It has been a forgettable season for Milan so far. Despite special occasions, the remaining 90% of the season has been very poor and far below the standard that the club have set for themselves.

As a result, the January mercato may be a busy one as we enter the final 11 days of the month. In terms of incomings, Kyle Walker is heavily expected to arrive, with the final details being arranged before an offer is sent.

Elsewhere Joao Felix is a name of interest, whilst in midfield, another signing would not be refused. After all, Sergio Conceicao is ‘furious’ with his squad, so he will be demanding reinforcements.

To fund the incomings, there will have to be departures. Emerson Royal and Strahinja Pavlovic have interest from Turkey, whilst Noah Okafor has English suitors.

Today, Sportitalia (via Sportmediaset) revealed that two other players could see their time with the Rossoneri come to an end this month. Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Samuel Chukwueze have not received offers yet, but Conceicao ‘would not oppose’ their departures, with neither seemingly having a future under the Portuguese.

A ‘winter revolution’ is set to take place it seems.

  1. With two weeks left i highly doubt there will be a ‘winter revolution’. We’re taking our sweet time with trying to get a free Kyle walker.

We need a defensive midfielder and we need a striker. A giroud type striker who stays in the box and scores goals. Not a Joao Felix. I don’t know what direction this team wants to go but this management is clueless.i don’t see us bringing many people in and others leaving.

  2. You have Casedei avaliable for 10mil. He can play as AM, CM. Is physical and runs a lot. Would fit great in Conceicao style and can develop in to a top player.
Then if you want a more defensive mid you have Matteo Prati for the same price and he is also young talented mid.
If you want to pay a bit more go for Frendrup or Ricci. And take one of the youngseters as a rotation player.
For CF you have Lucca. Around 20mil and he is the perfect target man. You wont find a better striker for that money. (I would have preffered Retegui but he is gone to Atalanta now.) If you want something better you will need to pay 35-40mil. For Zirkzee maybe etc.
You see there are pleanty of good options but its pointless when the team is run by incompetent people.

    1. Great suggestions 💯

However you forget the management doesn’t sign Italians. So none of them will arrive and we’ll just have random holes in the UEFA squad list.

  3. What happened? Just a season and a half ago this was called a revolution and RedBird clowns were hailed for their work and 110 millions spent. The team was much stronger they said.

Another one for the doom and gloom squad. This is gold🍿

    1. The curtain has been pulled back and RedBird have their pants around their ankles.

Only a few of us here predicted it but my God, we were right.

      1. It’s possible this is one of the reasons they didn’t go for Conceicao in summer.

Fonseca likely told them he would accept whatever squad they built. Whereas Sergio has said look … pulisic and reijnders are good but, half of these “bargain” signings are crap.

    2. No-one has ever praised RedBird for how the money has been invested, stop making things up. Some have rightly pointed out that they invested heavily, which is of course true.

      1. Says a dude who’s only anti-Maldini argument is, he signed Origi. Lmao, here’s your 200 million heavy investment. Epic fail.

        1. I have more arguments against Maldini, but that’s irrelevant. Both Elliot and Redbird have made mistakes.

The fact is you constantly lie by claiming the owners are cheap, despite the fact that they’ve spent around €200 million, taken in €100 million and only turned a tiny €4.6 million profit.

Over the past 2 seasons, the richest club on the planet, Newcastle have spent €216 million and taken in €96 million which isn’t wildly different from us. The thing you don’t understand, because you’re a damned idiot, is that all clubs have to comply with financial regulations in their own leagues and with UEFA’s regulations as well. The amount of money owners has is irrelevant. Clubs can only spend what they generate. We’re at the limit, as the profits show.

          1. Calling names and insults makes you look insecure and weak. Which is rightfully so because in order to act wise first you need to understand facts. Which you clearly don’t.

Clubs participating in UEFA competitions can have a squad cost equal to max 70% of revenues . Milan are well below that limit with a cost of around €250m and revenues of about €450m. It is even permitted for Milan to make a €60m loss.

Oh and no, they spent 40 millions net each season.

Cry harder. But do it in facts🤡

  4. The inevitable cost of being cheap on signings. The likes of rlc and emerson never even showed anything close to being good enough to be here. Chuk at least had some hype around him in La liga and has just fallen off a cliff since moving to a more defensive league.

    1. I think we have to be a little more generous with RLC, he played a big role for us last season when we finished second. But I agree, the management would rather get a good bargain than a good player. And we’re seeing the fruits of that approach now.

      1. He didn’t plat any role. He was absent in 95% of the games just standing doing nothing. He just scored a bunch of goals by standing in the box as a second striker same as everyone else would from that position. Nothing special. His lack of work was more liability than anything else.

        1. Well not really, has any of our strikers showed any type of form like that at the midpoint of the season? No, they’re less effective than Suso was, and he actually scored a healthy amount of goals during his short time. More than what I can say for Tammy and Morata at the pace they’re going.

    2. Eventually, when you’re squad is good enough you have to spend a lot of money to see only a small improvement. In economics this is called the law of diminishing returns. We are not in the position of city, liverpool, etc …,But 15-20 million players can’t do much for our squad, unless they really over perform (Pulisic and Reijnders might be good examples of such exceptions). At some point management will have to face this truth. Personally, I believe the whole issue of the stadium is preventing us from going all in.

    3. RLC has been 10x better than Chucky, who has been abysmal. Defensive league HAHAHAHA… just say the guy is not up to the task

      1. Yes, RLC. It will be so hard to sell that deadwood and Chukwueze will have a bunch of interest. Says enough about RLC. I agree he did better at Milan but realistically…

  5. Yes !

They all need to be punished. Tomorrow should happen the same with our stars. If they can’t perform in minimal level – move on. Go to smaller club like De Ketelaere and enjoy your career.

    This club needs result !!!

  6. Let’s see if we can get one transfer done before speaking of revolutions. Also panic selling and buying is never a good thing, especially in the winter market which has very few reasonable offers available

  7. We do need to have some depth, we just need elite starters – not to empty our bench. RLC is a direct box-to-box runner but not elite. Chuk is one of the only guys who attacked the box in the beginning of the season, I assume Conceicao would like him for that. Either way, Royal is definitely a bust and Walker is isn’t a long term answer but looks mandatory to upgrade at his point. Glad we aren’t getting Rashford, another non-elite winger doesn’t help us at all, it’s where we are deepest. We need a proper #9 that isn’t a poacher like Tammy or linkup man like Alvaro. Please not Zirkzee who is more of the same.

    1. Neither RLC nor Chuk are currently Milan crop. Neither is Musah so far, nor Emerson, Okafor, Terraciano, or any of the rejects w we have out on loan… this management is spending the money very poorly and the “misses” vastly outnumber the 3 hits.

Do we have any trust in THIS management to properly reinforce this team? The only rumors so far are Walker and Tomori to Juve…

  8. If Okafor, Chuk, RLC and Emerson (and you never know, maybe Pav too) all leave in one window then surely the clowns that signed them need to follow. SURELY!

  9. Offloading 7-8 players and brining in 3-4 players in 11 days. Sounds like something Moncada will not be able to do. He sat on Fofana’s project for two months lol

  10. You basically need to get rid of half of the signings from last 2 seasons because too much deadwood is now at the club. Emerson and Pavlovic from this season and RLC and Chukwueze from last. THat is 80M easy, maybe more. You can loan 3 players and buy one good one…

  11. Also, Joao Felix is a striker in a very loose sense of the word, he’s another winger or attacking midfielder though wish his style he’d probably do better in Serie A>EPL. I realize there aren’t a lot of elite #9’s in the world, but that’s what we ned. We should have gotten someone like Sesko or Marmoush when we had a chance way before Giroud left. Honestly, what impact #9 even exist for us to sign right?

    1. Strikers are there if the budget is there…. PSG for example don’t have an issue spending 70mil for Kvara in January. This ownership doesn’t have brass like that. Instead we seem to flipping a coin every time on a 20mil transfer.

      1. PSG generate over €800 million a season, only Real Madrid and Man City generate more. Milan generate about €450 million so kindly stop making embarassing posts.

  12. Winter revolution – if it wasn’t so pathetic, it would be funny. We’ve wasted 20 days of it talking about all the garbage that’s available. Meanwhile Juve, Napoli, Inter are quietly strengthening.
This Ibra led clownshow have not got a scooby doo what to do…

    1. Napoli’s best 2 players have left, stop pretending as if what’s happened is great. This is what Conte does, he ruins clubs.

Juve have more money. Inter haven’t signed anyone. Furthermore, what other clubs do is none of our business.

      1. One swallow does not make the swarm. Conte has enough trophies in his back pocket to show you that he knows what he’s doing, has more Serie A titles than Ancelotti for God’s sake.

  13. Sudah Saatnya Milan Merobak semua pemain yang tidak sesuai strategi Conceicao dan Termasuk Pemilik Milan beserta jajarannya untuk di ganti. Kalau SI AMERIKA MASIH MEMEGANG MILAN, PERCUMA PEMAIN YANG DI INGINKAN CONCEICAO SULIT TERCAPAI. Kembalikan si tammy Abraham dan beli Darwin Nunez.

  14. Revolutionized the squad…..out goes RCL, Chucky, Jovic, Okafor,
    Royal….

In comes Lucca, Casadei, Felix, Zappa, Reyna, Pratti

More energy in attacking…..nt bunch of deadwoods

  15. Utter DISASTER by Management. ALL should be FIRED

All summer signings – BUSTS!, Pavlovic, Emerson, Abraham Morata etc…

Last years signings all BUSTS – Jovic, Chukuweze Musah Okafor Romero Pelligrino RLC etc….

And the Redbird Lovers have the balls to complain about Maldini and Origi?????? Hahahahahahaha!!! A$$ 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡. Do us all a favor and STFU from now on. You know who you are you idiot donkeys
