Low scores for Hernandez in today’s papers after penalty miss vs. Bologna

Theo Hernandez didn’t have a successful game last night as AC Milan drew 2-2 against Bologna. The Frenchman missed a penalty and understandably didn’t get any high scores in today’s newspapers.

It was a tough evening for many of the Milan players but especially Hernandez, who was one of the culprits on the first goal and also missed a penalty at 1-1. In our player ratings, he was given a 5/10, only ‘beaten’ by Filippo Terracciano at 4.5.

SempreMilan.it have compiled the ratings in the newspapers and there were no high scores for Hernandez there either, named as the flop of the match by Gazzetta dello Sport. The 26-year-old will be hoping for a much better game next week, taking on Frosinone.

Gazzetta dello Sport: 4.5
Tuttosport: 5.5
Corriere dello Sport: 5

In addition to the penalty strike, which hit the post, Hernandez failed to track back on the first goal and this left the entire defence vulnerable. It’s something we have seen from the left-back before this season and Milan will need to find a better balance.

Frosinone are up next, as said, and Milan need a strong performance to restore some confidence after the disappointing draw against Bologna.
