AC Milan are trying to reach an agreement with Ismael Bennacer over the renewal of his contract and a potential meeting point has emerged, a report claims.
According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are continuing to work on the negotiation relating to Bennacer’s renewal and they hope to arrive at an agreement soon.
The belief is that a deal can be struck somewhere around the €4.5m net per season mark, which would be a big increase compared to the current salary that the Algerian gets but is one that would reflect his development and importance to the project.
Milan secured a number of key renewals during the year of 2022 but the general feeling is that the two main ones in Bennacer and Rafael Leao must follow soon in order to ensure that the core pieces are firmly tied down for future seasons.
