There are also some friendlies too, and it has been confirmed that goalkeeper Mike Maignan and defender Theo Hernandez have been called up for France’s friendlies against the Ivory Coast and South Africa. However, striker Olivier Giroud has not been picked by Didier Deschamps.

Rafael Leao has been summoned to play for Portugal in their World Cup play-offs and if they win and Italy do in their semi-final, he could face off against the Azzurri in what would be a battle for a place at the World Cup.

The disappointing news is that Fikayo Tomori has not been called up by Gareth Southgate for England’s friendlies against Switzerland and the Ivory Coast despite the fantastic season that he is having with the Rossoneri.
