Journalist claims Maldini has agreed terms with Torino defender ahead of summer bid

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan director Paolo Maldini spoke with Torino defender Mergim Vojvoda and agreed terms over a potential summer move, a report claims.

Kosovan journalist Arlind Sadiku (via 90min) reports that his compatriot Mergim Vojvoda has agreed terms with Milan, as the 27-year-old met with Paolo Maldini to discuss a potential move to the Rossoneri this summer.

Now it is up to Milan to find an agreement with Torino but an offer is expected once the transfer window reopens. Of course we wait for confirmations from the Italian media given that he has not yet been linked, but Vojvoda is a Dalot-esque player given he can play both full-back positions and even as a winger.

This would make him a solid back-up for Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabaria and one who knows the league well, and therefore could be deemed a guaranteed upgrade on Fode Ballo-Touré who may well leave in the summer.

  1. He would be a good sub and he is very versatile, kinda what Pioli likes, he can play DC, DR, MR, ML so if true, this might be a good deal.

  2. hm.. so it wasn’t about Bremer or Belotti. it’s like your mother ask you to buy bread in food shop then you come back with a stone
