AC Milan director Paolo Maldini attended the Coppa Italia clash between Atalanta and Spezia in Bergamo yesterday, and it wasn’t just to watch his son Daniel.
As Corriere dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports this morning, yesterday afternoon Paolo Maldini went to the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo to watch the last 16 tie in the Coppa Italia between Atalanta and Spezia.
The Milan technical director was obviously present to watch his son Daniel Maldini up close, given that he is on a season-long loan with the Ligurian club, but he also wanted to view a transfer target up close.
The player in question is Jakub Kiwior, a 22-year-old Polish centre-back who has been extensively linked with a move to the Rossoneri since the summer transfer window.
Unfortunately it was not the best of afternoons for Kiwior as he played in the centre of a back three and Spezia let in five goals, with three goals in the opening 26 minutes basically putting the tie beyond doubt.
Apparently he wasted time and money on him then.
We should stop dreaming okkk. He has been signed already by arsenal
