Mancini gave an interview to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport to talk about the difficult moment that the Italian National team are going through after the dismissal of Luciano Spalletti as the head coach.

The former Inter boss was also questioned on what he expects from Serie A clubs in 2025-26, given the coaching carousel that is currently going on. His comments were relayed by MilanPress.

How will Allegri do at Milan?

“Experienced, he knows Milan and top-level football: he will do well.”

A name you are betting on for next season?

“I said Fazzini, and finally he played a bit more. I really like Liberali. And Lucca can become an excellent centre forward.”

Liberali renewal on pause

As per the latest update from Matteo Moretto, there is ‘still no contact’ between Milan and Liberali for a possible contract renewal, with his current deal set to expire in 12 months.

The lack of movement is concerning given his obvious talent, but the hope is that the new sporting director Igli Tare will sit down with the teenager after attending to more pressing matters.
