A number of clubs are interested in signing Matteo Gabbia on loan from AC Milan in the January transfer window, according to a report.
It looked as though Gabbia was set to leave Milan on loan during the most reason summer mercato with Sampdoria being the club that were most heavily linked in the media, but even though Malick Thiaw arrived from Schalke 04 the Italian centre-back remained.

Gabbia has made six league appearances so far this season as well as four in the Champions League, including the away game against Dinamo Zagreb in which he netted his first goal for the senior side.
According to Calciomercato.com, ‘many clubs’ are interested in Gabbia and are expected to come forward with proposals for a loan deal in January. However, at present the Milan management are planning to keep him in the squad at least until the end of the current campaign.
