CM: Massara among the names Juventus are targeting as new sporting director

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s Ricky Massara has once again been named as a contender to become the new sporting director of Juventus, according to a report.

According to a report from Calciomercato.com, Cristiano Giuntoli of Napoli is Juventus’ dream for the role of new sporting director that the CEO Scanavino will try to recruit by the end of the season. It won’t be easy to snatch him, which is why seven other profiles are being discussed.

Both Frederic Massara of Milan and Igli Tare of Lazio are names that are very popular among the new Juve leadership internally. Giovanni Rossi, Carnevali’s right-hand man at Sassuolo, is a less likely name.

An internal move would be the promotion of Giovanni Manna, while the former Roma and Torino director Gianluca Petrachi would be available immediately and could bring the return of his great friend Antonio Conte closer.

Finally, there are two ‘international’ profiles and that they like in Andrea Berta of Atletico Madrid and Luis Campos of PSG.

    1. Massara and Maldini only received 2 year contracts this past june.
So Massara only has 18 months left on his deal. If Juventus offers him much more money to be their main guy, and finally runs the sporting department of a club, why wouldn’t he wanna leave instead of staying in the shadow of Maldini.
And as far as Juventus mess, ambitious and confident people in their abilities invite a challenge, they are not scared of it.

      1. Masara never been in the “shadow of Maldini” and Juventus not gonna offer bigger payroll when they’re in big financial problems.
