CorSera: Sporting director Massara leading Milan’s charge for Aston Villa midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a strong interest in signing Carney Chukwuemeka from Aston Villa with sporting director Ricky Massara a bid admirer of the player in particular, a report claims.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) report that Milan are looking to strengthen the midfield this summer and they have not only targeted Renato Sanches in their bid to do so, but also Carney Chukwuemeka.

The 18-year-old midfielder only has a contract until 2023 with Aston Villa and given how highly he is rated by talent scouts, the teenager is attracting the interest of several top European clubs.

Milan are among the list of admirers and the England U19 international is very much liked by the Rossoneri’s sporting director Ricky Massara.

If they kept him and were unable to extend his deal, Aston Villa would in fact only get around €400-500k if his contract were to run out and he were to move elsewhere as that is the amount that FIFA compensation dictates.

  1. Another soap opera on the way, this time around it will revolve around Milan not willing to pay 100k to complete the transfer.
