Massara: “The mercato? At the moment there are no further movements”

AC Milan sporting director Ricky Massara has claimed there are ‘no further movements’ at present regarding the transfer window.

Massara spoke prior to the Rossoneri’s game against Udinese on Sunday during which Ante Rebic was the hero for Milan as he netted a double – including a 93rd minute winner – to secure a 3-2 victory win over the Bianconeri.

A crowd of over 60,000 at San Siro were treated to quite a spectacle in Sunday’s matinee, as Milan pegged back Udinese through Rebic after Jens Stryger Larsen’s opener.

Theo Hernandez’s strike looked to have sealed the win for the Rossoneri inside the final 20 minutes, but then Kevin Lasagna again looked like being Milan’s kryptonite with a late equaliser, however Rebic had other ideas as he netted a 93rd minute winner.

A lot of the present speculation regarding the mercato meanwhile is about possible reinforcements for the wing department, with Cengiz Under and Dani Olmo the strongest linked.

Massara was interviewed by DAZN before the game, and his words were transcribed by MilanNews.it

“Even today 60,000 people, it is a closeness that helps us despite not being a positive season so far, this warmth can give us a great hand,” he said.

“The mercato? At the moment there are no further movements, there are no other situations to exploit, we will see if in the last two weeks opportunities will arise with the conditions to strengthen us we will find ourselves ready.”
