Mediaset: Announcement expected in next few days as Milan and Chelsea complete €27m deal

AC Milan have closed a deal with Chelsea for the signing of centre-back Fikayo Tomori, another report has claimed.

Tomori made 22 appearances for Milan across the league, Europa League and Coppa Italia and established himself as a key performer under head coach Stefano Pioli, forming an excellent pairing with Simon Kjaer at centre-back.

His exploits will have certainly made the management glad that they included an option to buy as part of his six-month loan deal from the Blues, and now everything points towards the Englishman staying beyond his loan and signing a multi-year deal with the club.

Broadcaster SportMediaset (via MilanNews) are also reporting that – after having paid €1m for the loan in January – the Rossoneri are ready to pay €27m to sign the defender on a permanent. Everything has been defined and the operation is nearing the official status, with an announcement expected in the next few days.
