AC Milan are interested in signing Nicolo Zaniolo for the right wing role but Roma have set a very high asking price for him, a report claims.
According to what was revealed by SportMediaset (via SempreMilan.it), Milan continue to monitor Zaniolo as a possible reinforcement for the right flank next season and the Giallorossi forward has certainly attracted the interest of the management.
The feeling is that the change in ownership from Elliott Mangement to RedBird Capital will provide important liquidity to spend on the market. However, Roma’s request for Zaniolo is €50m at the moment, a figure judged too high by Milan.
Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara nevertheless tried to include Alexis Saelemakers (valued €20m) as a counterpart in the operation but distance persists between the parties. The directors will make new attempts in the future, perhaps further raising the cash amount to try and convince the capital club.
