Mediaset: Milan to rival Spurs in race to sign €35m winger and Man Utd defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are interested in the idea of signing two current Roma players during the summer transfer window, according to a report.

Despite the fact that the January mercato has only just passed, rumours are rife about who the Rossoneri could bring in to strengthen their depleted squad ahead of next season, having let six players leave.

According to the latest from SportMediaset (via MilanLive), Paolo Maldini and Zvonimir Boban have turned their attentions to the capital. Milan particularly like two players: one is Cengiz Under, already linked throughout January, and the other is Chris Smalling, who is owned by Manchester United and is currently on a dry loan.

Interestingly, Turkish newspaper Gunes (as cited by the CaughtOffside) recently stated that Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is a keen admirer of Under, rated at €35million. Meanwhile, reports in England have suggested Spurs also want Smalling, along with fellow Premier League side Everton.
